Whiteness ـTo
where? To
a child we granted our mouths and
disbelieved. This
whiteness is a cover for what book? Is
a servant for what lamp? In
whose name the one who spends the night watching his lamp, Like
Sinbad
(1)
spent
the night loading his tales with the boats, then sails. ـ
To
where? ـ
To
a fountain we muffled its soul with an ill-fated
air and
white wolves hidden beneath the angel’s grimace. Before
that I slept in the tank of pain; white, with
dark peoples that bleed horror of a useless whiteness. Before
that I saw the miracle: a
hug of two whiteness(es) on a sheet of paper. (1)Sinbad: a famous character in The Arabian Nights. He became a symbol in Arabic poetry for the travel to the unknown and the desire to discovery. |
